Indi is the official mascot of Atlético de Madrid, and it represents a racoon dressed with North America indian clothes, since the Atlético supporters are called "indians".

On 2000, Atletico de Madrid was relegated to the Second Division in the Spanish Leage and the team launched a promotional campaign called "One year in the Hell", in order to get more people at the stadium and get back to the First Division asap.   In that atmosphere, I re-designed the mascot and I adapted it to the hell enviroment under the name "INDIABLO" -game upon the words with Indi (indian) and Diablo (devil)-.

At the same time, I prepared several designs as proposals for mascots of different football teams in Spain and Portugal, as Barcelona, Oporto, Benfica or Sporting of Lisbon, but after long and hard negotiations with the clubs, only Valencia C. de F. decided to go ahead with the project.
